About Ingredients

For all of my raw food recipes I have a couple of rules that I follow.

I try to use all organic ingredients, whenever possible

By making raw food, it keeps my meals ingredients simple and I mean simple because I know exactly what is going into what I am making. It also helps if one tries to make all ingredients, such as almond milk, or puts in natural sweeteners such as dates, raisins, honey and maple syrup. The possibility of not knowing what is going into your meals becomes very limited. I belive that it is something that we should all become more conscious of.

I do not use agava. My reasoning is because agave is highly processed and contains a high fructose content, and is not recommended. But it is also because of personal tastes. I do not like the taste of agava, and I prefer natural sweeteners such as dates, raisin, honey and maple syrup.
